Subculture Brewing are a small, fiercely independent craft brewery built on the idea that beer should be as creative, expressive, and unapologetically individual as the people who drink it. Born out of Melbourne’s vibrant underground arts and music scene, Subculture Brewing treats beer not just as a beverage, but as a cultural artifact—something that carries stories, attitude, and a sense of place in every pour.
Our approach blends experimentation with a respect for classic styles. You’ll find crisp, finely tuned lagers sitting alongside bold hop-driven ales, fruited sours, and playful one-off releases that showcase seasonal ingredients or collaborations with local artists, musicians, and other indie producers. Everything is small-batch and hands-on, with the team prioritising freshness, balance, and character above all else.
